When I was reading the news this morning, a report about another prize for Donald Trump caught my eye. Honestly, I spent a minute checking whether it wasn’t fake news. I couldn’t believe it :) But it really is true. Immediately, a graphic I had prepared for future articles flashed through my mind. I knew straight away it would be this beautiful satirical engraving by Thomas Rowlandson. While the idea was still fresh, I got down to work.
I had never made satirical collages before. Actually, it was only here, when I started writing, that it motivated me to create my own graphics for articles. So I’m thinking, what other new things does life have in store for me?
Lately, it seems to me that events in the world bring satire all by themselves - whether it’s the daft kind or the genuinely funny kind.
